TRINIDADIAN DEEP

Emerging from Toronto’s underground house movement in the late ‘90s, Trinidadian Deep has cultivated a sound rooted in spiritual depth, slow-burning rhythm, and emotional honesty. A longtime student of deep house culture, his musical path was shaped through close guidance from Chicago visionary Ron Trent alongside support from Osunlade — influences that helped define both his production philosophy and deeply soulful approach to dance music.

His productions balance jazz harmony, Afrocentric percussion, dub atmospheres, and meditative groove structures with remarkable restraint. Rather than relying on peak-time intensity, Trinidadian Deep’s records unfold patiently, prioritizing emotional resonance and spiritual immersion over immediacy. Releases across respected imprints including Neroli, Visions Recordings, Makin’ Moves, and his own Native Bush imprint have established him as one of deep house music’s most distinctive contemporary voices.

As a DJ, he is equally known for extended, groove-led sets that favor subtle progression and deep musical storytelling. Moving comfortably around slower tempos and richly textured rhythms, his selections reflect a profound connection to the foundational principles of house music culture: patience, soul, community, and emotional depth.
